Keeping Your Home Running

Household Support

The practical running of a household, cleaning, laundry, meal prep, shopping, admin. For participants who need a hand with the stuff that piles up when energy is short.

Household Support covers

Cleaning

Kitchens, bathrooms, floors, dusting, changing linen, bins, light and deep cleans depending on need.

Laundry & ironing

Washing, drying, folding, putting away, ironing, linen changes.

Meal prep

Grocery planning, shopping, batch cooking, single-meal prep, dietary preferences and cultural cooking.

Shopping

Grocery runs, pharmacy, essentials. With you or on your behalf.

Light gardening

Watering, weeding, small lawn care, tidying outdoor spaces. Heavy work sits outside NDIS scope.

Admin help

Reading bills, booking appointments, calling providers, organising paperwork. Non-financial.

Skills we screen for

Not every worker is a fit for every participant. Here's what we check before a profile lands in your inbox.

Comfortable cleaning to a standard, experience across homes, not just own house
Respect for your home, belongings, pets, and routines
Reliable and punctual, we screen for attendance history
Able to follow a written routine if you have one, or build one with you
Cooking experience matching your dietary needs (halal, kosher, vegetarian, allergen-aware)
Non-judgmental about mess or clutter, we source for that specifically

About household support

Yes, within the hours allocated in your plan. Tell us the scope in the referral and we'll source a worker whose pace matches.
We source workers with experience in those environments. It's a specialisation and we'll tell you if we need a few extra days to find the right person.
Yes. Household support can be standalone. Many of our participants start here and add other supports later.
Plan-managed and self-managed participants can fund cleaning under Core Supports (Assistance With Daily Life) where it supports their disability. We'll help you check.

What to expect

No two shifts are the same, but here's the rhythm most of our workers follow.

Arrive on time, dressed for the activity. Punctuality is a basic, and it's something we screen for.
Check in with the participant first. A proper hello, a read of the mood, a brief chat about how the day is going.
Follow the agreed plan. Routines and rosters matter. Workers stick to what's been agreed unless the participant wants to change.
Keep clear notes. Every shift ends with a quick log, what was done, anything worth flagging, any ideas for next time.
Wrap up properly. Hand over cleanly, confirm the next shift, say goodbye. Professional but warm.
